Congratulations on your purchase of the Stellar Pro Cricket Net Instructions for Assembly
Cricket Single Bay Net Complete With Poles
N.B For ease and safety, we recommend that two people should erect this Bay. (Four is advised for the 11m)
1. Make a small loop in the rope halfway along each guyline. Slip this loop over the knob on the end of the
pole and pull it tight.
2. Measure and mark out on the ground exactly where you want the bay to stand. This should be possibly
facing North/South( Prevent afternoon sun from shining into batsmans eyes). It is also recommended at
this stage to take into consideration windows, flower beds etc and to position the net that you gain at
least 18 meters from bowling wicket to batting wicket)*
3. Open up the net, which is one piece, and lay it out on the ground, around where the Poles are to be
positioned
4. Tie one corner of the net to the knob of one of the poles, which is to be at the entrance to the bay.
Making sure you have the same edge, tie the corner at the other end of the net to the knob on the other
pole, which is to be at the entrance to the bay.
5. Insert the spike on the first pole into the ground. If the ground is very hard, you may need to stand on a
stepladder and knock the pole in. If you do, we suggest that you use a mallet with a rubber head, to
avoid damaging the pole.
6. While one person holds the pole upright, spread out the ends of the guyline on that pole, and peg them
to the ground. They need only to be pegged out roughly for the moment, sufficient to hold the pole
erect, and may be adjusted when all the netting is in place.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 with the other pole to which the netting is attached.
8. Now tie the height of the netting to the two poles as tightly as you require.
9. The front of the entrance to the bay now being in position, you can move on to the back of the bay. As
said before, the netting is in one piece, without the back corners being marked, so you must simply pull
the netting back the required amount- either 5.5m or 9.1m, depending on which bay you have
purchased.
10. Next, place the other two pole in position as described in steps 5 and 6.
11. Using a stepladder, tie the top edge of the net to knob on one of the poles, and then repeat the process
for the other side.
12. After adjusting the guylines to get the required tension, tie the height of the netting to the last two
poles. Your Cricket Single Bay is now ready for use.
13. Finally there will be one piece of rope left and this should be cut to be tied to the top of the 2 posts at
the front of the net facility to keep the structure stable. This will only be the case with the 7m and 11m
where further stability will be required.
TO AVOID DAMAGE TO THE NETTING, PLEASE DO NOT USE DAMAGED BALLS, OR USE THIS BAY TOO CLOSE TO
WALLS, FENCES ETC.
